Maple Bacon Cupcakes and Carrot...
Hello friends,
I am participating for the second year in a row in the San Diego Food Bloggers Bake Sale this Saturday, May 4th at Great News in Pacific Beach from 10 am – 4 pm. The proceeds go to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry who are working to end childhood hunger in America.
Last year I was added to the venue two days before the sale so I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare but was anxious to get out there and meet some new people, share my cupcakes and help raise money for a great cause. Boy oh boy, did I go crazy buying up so many sweet and savory treats. It was a fun day! I am going to try and show a little self control on Saturday…maybe. This year it has been nice to have ample time to prepare.
I decided to bake my ever so popular Sweet & Salty cupcake, which is chocolate cake, peanut butter frosting, topped with salted caramel sauce, a sprinkle of sea salt and a chocolate covered pretzel. I am going to debut my newest cupcake, Gluten Free Vanilla topped with vanilla cream cheese frosting. Yesterday I woke up bright and early and was hit with inspiration for my third cupcake, Green Tea Lemonade, green tea cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. I can’t wait to get baking!
If you are in the San Diego area and want to stop by and say hi and grab some tasty treats please do not hesitate.
